Volume Statistics




Knight Capital Group, Inc. (August 13, 2010) (NYSE Euronext: KCG) today announced equities and foreign exchange volume statistics for the month of July 2010.

Equities

For the month of July 2010, the Dow Jones Industrial, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite Index increased 7.1%, 6.9% and 6.9%, respectively. During the same period, the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) averaged 25.6.

Knight's equities volumes were as follows:
 Average daily U.S. equities dollar volume traded in July 2010 was
  $25.4 billion, down approximately 7.1% from $27.4 billion in
  June 2010 and up approximately 13.0% from $22.5 billion in July 2009.
 Average daily U.S. equities trade volume in July 2010 was
  3.7 million, down approximately 5.7% from 3.9 million in
  June 2010, and down approximately 2.3% from 3.8 million in July 2009.
 Average daily U.S. equities share volume in July 2010 was
  7.4 billion, down approximately 14.6% from 8.6 billion in
  June 2010, and down approximately 27.3% from 10.2 billion in July 2009.

Knight Direct recorded average daily equities share volume in July 2010 of 166.0 million, up approximately 8.9% from 152.5 million in June 2010, and up approximately 143.1% from 68.3 million in July 2009.*

In equities, there were 21 trading days in July 2010, 22 days in June 2010 and 22 days in July 2009.

Foreign Exchange

 Hotspot FX recorded average daily notional dollar value traded in
  July 2010 of $33.0 billion, down approximately 11.3% from $37.2 billion in
  June 2010, and up approximately 55.1% from $21.3 billion in July 2009.

In foreign exchange, there were 22 trading days in July 2010, 22 days in June 2010 and 23 days in July 2009.
