In Global Markets, we are the leading source of off-exchange liquidity in U.S. equities and have greater average daily share volume
than any U.S. exchange.
We provide market access and trade execution services across multiple asset classes to more than 4,500 buy- and sell-side firms.
Knight’s hybrid market model offers clients multiple electronic and voice access options to the global capital markets allowing
firms to trade according to individual preferences and requirements.
Our approach to trading combines deep liquidity with superior trading technology and, when necessary, capital facilitation to deliver consistent, high-quality trade executions according to client-defined measures.
We engage in trading and market-making in global equities, including more than 19,000 U.S. equities, and provide execution services in international securities, fixed income, foreign exchange, futures, options and derivatives. Knight's average daily U.S. equity share volume of 3.97 billion in 2008 far exceeded that of the NYSE and NASDAQ which averaged 2.61 billion and 2.26 billion respectively.
We also provide related capital markets services, including equity and debt issuance, share repurchase programs, restricted stock
transactions and introductions to institutional investors, to more than 300 corporate issuers.
