What is Knight Direct?
Knight Direct is an Execution Management System (EMS) that offers through its broker-neutral trading platform direct market
access. The platform enables access to multiple markets in multiple asset classes, including U.S. and international equities,
futures, options, foreign exchange. Knight Direct is FIX-enabled to provide inbound and outbound routing through nearly
all major networks and order management systems.
Who owns and provides Knight Direct?
Knight Direct is developed by Knight Equity Markets and distributed by Knight Direct, LLC and Knight Capital Europe Limited. Knight Direct, LLC is a wholly-owned broker-dealer subsidiary of Knight Capital Group, Inc.
Are my trades anonymous?
Yes. Knight Direct, LLC is a separate broker-dealer subsidiary and all trades are routed through its MPID: DTTX.
Who uses Knight Direct?
Primarily institutional trading desks. Portfolio managers of mid-sized hedge funds and investment advisors also use Knight Direct.
Can I access my portfolio and receive live P&L through Knight Direct?
Yes. Through its position blotter, Knight Direct features portfolio download and upload capabilities. Traders can view and
trade their portfolios real-time within Knight Direct.

Does Knight Direct offer algorithms?
Yes, Knight Direct offers several custom algorithms as well as numerous broker-sponsored routes.
Can I use soft dollars with Knight Direct?
Soft dollar credits can be generated via transactions of global equity and option securities executed on the Knight
Direct platform. Additionally, you have access to our client commission arrangement program, Broker Select, which directs
commission balances to third-party and broker-dealer research providers.
