Jamil M. Nazarali, Managing Director, Head of the Electronic Trading Group (ETG), Knight Equity Markets, L.P., oversees all of Knight’s automated trading globally. He helped start ETG when he joined the firm in 2000 and has overseen the firm's significant increase in automated trading since then. Among Mr. Nazarali’s responsibilities is Knight Link, one of the largest sources of dark liquidity in the U.S. equities market. Mr. Nazarali joined Knight from Ernst & Young, where he was a management consultant. Prior to his employment at Ernst & Young, he was with Bain & Company. Mr. Nazarali is the Chairman of the New York Stock Exchange Electronic Trading Advisory Committee. Mr. Nazarali received a bachelor of arts from the University of Western Ontario and a master of business administration from the University of Chicago.
