Leonard J. Amoruso, Senior Managing Director, General Counsel
Leonard J. Amoruso, Senior Managing Director, General Counsel, oversees all legal, compliance, regulatory and market structure matters for the Company. Mr. Amoruso has been General Counsel of the Company since May 2007. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Amoruso was the Senior Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer of the Company since June 2003. From October 1999 to June 2003, Mr. Amoruso served as Chief Compliance Officer and Assistant General Counsel of the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Knight Securities, L.P (now known as Knight Equity Markets, L.P.). Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Amoruso spent a decade with FINRA's District 10 office in New York, most recently as Deputy Director. Mr. Amoruso serves on numerous industry committees and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He also currently serves on the Board of Managers of Direct Edge Holdings LLC. Mr. Amoruso received a B.B.A. in Banking, Finance and Investments from Hofstra University in 1986 and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 1989.
