Knight/Trimark Group Executes Record Trade Volume Of 600,000 Trades in Single Day

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Knight/Trimark Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NITE), the largest wholesale market marker in U.S. equity securities, today reported that it executed in excess of 600,000 trades on November 17, 1999, representing a cumulative share volume of over 525 million shares Knight's strategic technology investments provide the firm with the capacity to process 1.2 million trades per day.

The company's share volume accounted for approximately 12 percent of the November 17 reported Nasdaq, New York Stock Exchange and American Stock Exchange share volume. Knight has executed over 55 billion shares in the first nine months of 1999, a share volume second only to Nasdaq and the NYSE.
